Professional experience

Hal has over 30 years of experience as principal, investor, director, operating manager, partner, and financial advisor to public and private companies including growth capital companies, ESOP-owned companies, small and large businesses, and turnarounds.

He began his career in finance with Ernst & Young in 1978 working as a member of the Financial Advisory Services team providing corporate finance, valuation, restructuring, and litigation support services. He later became the Managing Director of their European multinational consulting business unit.

Hal has also served as Vice President at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young; a founder and member of the Board of Directors at Artisan Inks; and as a Strategic Restructuring Advisor/Chief Restructuring Officer in multiple restructuring situations.
