The largest ESOP conference in the world will be held in Las Vegas on November 13 and 14. Four members of Verit Advisors will be on panels at the Las Vegas ESOP Conference & Trade Show at Caesars Palace.

Cary Chen, Verit Advisors senior advisor, will participate in a panel called “Highly Leveraged ESOP Transactions.” This session will address administrative issues with highly leveraged ESOP transactions. Mr. Chen is also General Manager – Light Industrial Businesses at Hypertherm Inc., which is a 100% ESOP corporation.

Also on Thursday, Neal Hawkins, Verit Advisors vice president, will moderate a session titled “Financial Projections: Preparation.” The panel will review methods and procedures for building credible company projections and explore how valuation professionals examine those projections as part of the valuation process.

Mary Josephs, Verit Advisors CEO and founder, will moderate the “Complex Transaction Structuring Alternatives” panel. This session will explain the economic impact of various structures first from the company’s perspective and then from the ESOP/participant’s perspective.

Verit’s fourth presenter is Peter Abrahamson, technical director, who will moderate a panel on “Underperforming ESOP Company Issues.” This advanced session will explore loan stretch-out transactions and other tools that ESOP companies may consider in response to changing financial circumstances.
