Bob started as an analyst trainee at the National Bank of Detroit (NBD) in 1981 where he held various commercial lending assignments until joining in the creation of its capital markets activity in 1987.
He moved to Chicago in 1995 to manage regional large corporate banking for NBD, and went on to oversee the public banking and healthcare business for First Chicago/NBD through 1997. He then became a Managing Director in charge of Midwest Large Corporate Banking for First Chicago/NBD and Bank One.
Bob joined BMO in 2004 where he was a Managing Director and Sector Head of Capital Markets’ Commercial and Industrial Group, which provided investment banking and corporate banking services to mid-sized companies in capital goods, transportation, packaging, and basic material industries.
In 2009, he joined TTK Partners, LLC – a Chicago-based boutique M&A Advisory Firm focused on the middle market.
Bob formed Wexford Capital Advisors, LLC in 2013 as an independent sponsor platform for principal investing. He and his partners invest in middle-market industrial, consumer, and financial services opportunities, including lightly stressed companies and family-owned businesses with complex generational transfer or operating challenges.
